Hello from Tenterfield,
I got away around 7, heading south down the Bruce Highway for some 60km, before turning west onto the Wide Bay Highway, then south onto the Burnett Highway at Goomeri. At Nanango, I visited the bakery, and had morning coffee at an excellent little park on the edge of town. Continuing south through Yarraman, where the road became the New England Highway, I reached Toowoomba around lunchtime, and obtained lunch from Subway. It was consumed at a Lion’s Club park just down the road, which was also quite pleasant, apart from having a bird in the tree above the table at which I was sitting shit on my shoulder.
I was settled in to my motel room in Tenterfield room by 2:30.
I’m heading for Dubbo tomorrow.
Cheers,
Julian
