Greetings all, from Warrnambool,

Left Bendigo this morning, heading for Geelong, via Castlemaine and Ballarat. Filled up with petrol again at Daylesford, after having done 839km on the second tank (and I could only manage to get 65lt in the 75lt tank). At around 10am, I stopped at the bakery in Buninyong (13km past Ballarat) to get the usual C&B rolls, and had one at a rest area just outside town for morning coffee. From Geelong, I went to Barwon Heads, and then to Torquay, where the Great Ocean Road starts. I stopped in Lorne for a late lunch around 1:30pm, then headed for Warrnambool, where I arrived around 4:30pm. Unfortunately, for most of the trip on the G.O.R, I was prevented from having fun by slow moving cars, but thankfully, on a couple of occasions, I was able to give the car a good workout on twisty sections of the road.

Sorry, no pictures, again. I’d planned to take some in the Twelve Apostles area, but it started raining around Cape Otway, and the light wouldn’t have been conducive to good photographs. Helicopter flights seem to be the “big thing” in that area now; I saw a least 4 choppers in the sky in the space of a couple of km. I’d probably have taken a flight myself, had it been a sunny day.

Cheers,
Julian
