Greetings from Melbourne,

I left Halls Gap near 9, taking a rather circuitous route to Melbourne, in order to fill in time, as check-in at the Langham Hotel was 3pm. I went northeast to Stawell, northwest to Horsham (where I did the bakery thing, and had morning coffee), south to Hamilton (where I had lunch), and east to Melbourne.

I checked in to the hotel ’round 3:30. I dunno what the kilometrage was today, as I forgot to check the speedometer reading before having the truck valet parked.

The concert was excellent! Whilst Ravi needed a hand under his elbow to help him walk on stage, and he couldn’t sit in the traditional cross-legged position, there’s nothing wrong with the old bastard’s arms, hands and fingers. Anoushka’s not bad either (and she can play, too).

Cheers,
Julian
