Hello from Lakes Entrance,
I departed Melbourne just before 9, heading east along the freeway. I left the freeway at the Pakenham exit, and did the usual provisioning there. In order to fill in the day, my intention was to have morning coffee at Healesville at a beautiful park on its outskirts (the Maroondah Reservoir Park, at which I’ve stopped a couple of times in the past) then make my way from there to Lakes Entrance.
However, I got a bit lost (as the Google Map will attest) and didn’t make it to Healesville. I had morning coffee between Kallista and Monbulk, and lunch near Noojee.
It was a very pleasant drive between Pakenham and Moe, with lots of little villages nestled in the forests. I was in my motel room by 3:30. I forgot to check the speedo again, but Google Maps says it was 414km, and it’s usually with 10km or so.
Cheers,
Julian
