Hello again from Melbourne,

Today was a busy day. The convention started at 8:30am and finished at 6pm. Of the eight speakers, I enjoyed all but one (Tamas Pataki). I really enjoyed the talks by Taslima Nasrin (which brought tears to my eyes, and who received a well deserved standing ovation), AC Grayling and PZ Myers. I couldn’t pick a favourite from those; they were very different in style and content, but were all great.

Saturday night dinner started at 7pm and finished ’round 11:30pm. I was seated at one of two adjacent tables (10 per table) with other members of the Atheist Foundation of Australia online forum, and so had the opportunity to put faces to their online personas. There were three entertainment acts during the night, the highlight of which was Julian Morrow and Craig Reucassel from the “Chasers”.
