Hi from Melbourne, still,

Today’s program was not as full as yesterday’s, starting at 9 and finishing at 4. Dawkins was the last speaker of the day, and whilst his talk was interesting, I’d still say I enjoyed the three speakers I mentioned yesterday more. I cringed, when, during the applause as he walked on stage after having been introduced, a few people stood up, as if that warranted a standing ovation! At the conclusion of his talk he was given a standing ovation by a large proportion of the audience (not including me). Whilst not quite as cringe-worthy, I don’t think he said anything to deserve it; unwarranteed hero-worship of him does the atheist cause no good.
