G’day from the Gap,
I had a lazy day today, undertaking just one drive, this morning, south down the Grampians Tourist Road, taking a side trip up to Mt William (the highest point in the Grampians), then back north, mostly via the Henham Track.
I didn’t attempt the 2km uphill walk from the Mt William carpark to the top of the mountain, as I’ve discovered that I don’t (yet?) have the stamina that I used to have. The Henham Track, whilst nominally 4WD, was quite flat, but the surface (sometimes sandy, sometimes rocky) was such that my average speed was about 40km/h. Whilst not particularly challenging, it was nonetheless an enjoyable drive. The round trip covered 125km.
This afternoon, I just loafed around, surfing the net, and catching up on some reading (started Richard Dawkin’s “The Greatest Show on Earth“).
Cheers,
Julian
