Hello from Mt. Gambier,
The weather was much improved today, so I was able to catch my 10:30 ferry back to the mainland at Cape Jervis, where I disembarked at about 11:30 (the second last car off the ferry!), and headed for home. I took the shortest route over to the Princes Highway, through Victor Harbour, Goolwa, Strathalbyn, and Wellington, where I had to take a punt (vehicular that is; across the Murray River). It was then south-east along the Princes Highway to Mt. Gambier, where I arrived around 5:15, as a result of my late getaway. I stopped only for lunch and afternoon tea, at roadside rest stops, consuming a picnic lunch from the lodge. Today’s trip covered about 555km.
Cheers,
Julian
