Ni hao from Narromine,

I left Broken Hill ’round 8, after stocking up at Baker’s Delight, heading east along the Barrier Highway. I stopped for morning coffee at the Netallie Hill Rest at 9:45 CST, and took the opportunity to set my watch and car clock forward a half hour to EST. I had lunch at the Meadow Glen Rest Area at about 12:45; it was a pleasant spot amid native pines, the new green grass contrasting with the red earth.

I reached Cobar at 1:30 and refueled, then continued east along the Barrier Highway to Nygan, where I joined the Mitchell Highway, southeast to Narromine. I was in my motel room by 4:15, after having travelled 740km.
