Greetings from Dubbo.
I left home this morning at about 7:30am, on my round-about trip to the Gold Coast for the Australian Skeptics Annual Convention this weekend. Stopped in Yass around 10am, looking for the usual C&B rolls for morning tea, but ended up with a couple of “gourmet” pies instead (Beef Stroganoff and Chicken Dianne). Had the chicken one just outside Yass with a cup off coffee, and it was most excellent. I then continued on, via Bowning, Harden-Murrumburrah, Wombat, Young, and had lunch just past Grenfell (the other pie, which was also most excellent, even though it was no longer hot!). Then off to Dubbo (via Forbes and Parkes) where I arrived around 3pm.
Needless to say, the top was up all the way, due to the cold temperature and intermittent rain. I thought the fuel economy was damn good before, but it’s even better with the top up all the time!
I’m heading up to Goondiwindi tomorrow, where I’ll probably stay overnight.
Cheers,
Julian
