Shalom from Shell Cove,

I arrived home ’round a quarter to 3, after leaving Narromine ’bout 7:30, heading south towards Yass, via Parkes and Cowra. I was in Parkes by 8:45, where I spent 15 minutes walking up and down the length of the main street, looking for the Baker’s Delight franchise. I knew there was one in town, ’cause I checked the telephone directory at the motel in Narromine. It was well hidden, in a poorly signposted little arcade, directly across the road from where I had parked! It was well worth the walk though, as their ham and cheese danishes are most excellent.

I was in Cowra by 10:30, where I refueled, and then had morning coffee at a park on the corner of the Boorowa road turnoff. On reaching the Hume Freeway near Yass, I headed east to home, having lunch around 12:45 at a rest area near Goulburn.

Today’s leg was 563km; here’s the route on Google Maps:

The total distance I covered was 12,521km; I’m just about due for the next service on the car, and it’s only 4 weeks since the last one!

Cheers,
Julian
