Hello from Shell Cove,
I decided that I’d return home, rather than venture further, arriving around 3pm to what seemed summery conditions! After filling the tank in Orange, I took a route via Spring Hill, Milthorpe, Blayney, Hobbys Yards, Trunkey, Tuena, Binda, Crookwell (were I visited the bakery), Grabben Gullen (where I had morning coffee) and Gunning to the Hume Highway. At Marulan, I left the freeway, heading for Moss Vale via Bundanoon. Along the way, at Wingello, I headed off into the Wingello State Forest for an hour or so, to test out the car on some rough fire trails that I know of, and had lunch there. Again, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the navigation system displayed the fire trails!
I covered about 830km; I’ll probably do another trip or two during the week, so that I’ll be able to take “her” in for the 1,500km service soon, and get the correct iPod cable fitted.
Cheers,
Julian
